Women’s basketball off to its best start since 2010-11

Essence Booker was named the Wolf Pack Student-Athlete for her efforts against Utah Valley on Saturday, Nov. 16. Booker scored 16 points in the victory.

Led by head coach, Amanda Levens, women’s basketball captured their first road victory of the season, knocking off Utah Valley, 60-57. The victory pushes Nevada to 3-0, its best start since the 2010-11 season.

Essence Booker led Nevada with 16 total points, shooting 5-9 from the floor and 2-3 from deep. Additionally, Booker had five defensive rebounds and four assists.

Following on the heels of Booker was Dom Philips, who scored 14 points of her own.
