Nevada women’s basketball coach Jane Albright announced Saturday that senior forward Julia Shelbourn will undergo season-ending surgery on her right knee.
“This is a tough one with Julia being a starter in her senior year and being one of our captains,” said Albright in a release.
Shelbourn, a senior captain and starter, sustained an injury during last Sunday’s home contest against Montana State early in the first quarter. This is the first injury of Shelbourn’s college career.
Shelbourn has played in nearly 100 games in her collegiate career.
