Nevada’s backcourt duo of Grant Sherfield and Desmond Cambridge Jr. were named to the 2021-22 All-Mountain West third team on Tuesday.
They were the only Wolf Pack players to be honored by the conference this season.
Sherfield, a junior, led the Mountain West in assists (6.4 apg) and was Nevada’s scoring leader (18.5 ppg). He scored in double-figures in 13 of the 14 conference games in which he appeared, including a 30-point night in the regular-season finale against San Diego State.
It was the second straight all-conference honor for Sherfield, who began his college career at Wichita State.
