New Wolf Pack football coach Jay Norvell’s base salary starts at $250,000 per season, the lowest of the 12 Mountain West head coaches, and will increase to $300,000 per season prior over the final four years of his contract. Norvell also is guaranteed $200,000 annually in media and public appearances over the course of his five-year contract, which will guarantee the coach $2.45 million over five seasons if he finished the term.
The Reno Gazette-Journal obtained Norvell’s contract, which was finalized Thursday afternoon when UNR president Marc Johnson signed it, through a public records request. Here are some of the highlights of the contract.
