Wolf Pack's 2016 MVP, James Butler, transferring to Iowa

When Nevada running back James Butler first heard the Wolf Pack was shifting to the pass-first Air Raid offense, he had some initial concerns.

Enough concerns he considered transferring for his senior season.

But after contemplation, Butler decided he didn't want to leave Nevada. He went through spring camp with the team in April and said he was committed to the Wolf Pack.

“You obviously have those thoughts, but I’ve built such a résumé here and had some great years and all of my best friends are here," Butler told the RGJ during spring camp.
