The Nevada women's golf team finished fifth in the Mountain West Championship, tying its best finish during coach Kathleen Takaishi's five seasons with the Wolf Pack.

For the third straight season, rival UNLV won the event at the Dinah Shore Course at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The Rebels finished at 8 over during the 54-hole event. San Diego State (+16), Colorado State (+31) and New Mexico (+38) followed in the nine-team event.

The Wolf Pack entered the final round in third place but slipped two spots and finished at 39 over after a round of 306 (Nevada shot 302 and 295 in the first and second rounds, respectively).
