Wolf Pack women bring confidence into Mountain West Tournament

If Nevada is looking for a reason to be confident as it opens Mountain West Tournament play, which begins Monday in Las Vegas, all it has to do is look at last week.

The Wolf Pack women swept two home games in the final week of the regular season, drubbing UNLV on Tuesday before taking a double-digit victory over San Diego State on Friday.

No. 7-seeded Nevada's first-round game of the single-elimination tournament is Monday against No. 10 SDSU. And if it beats the Aztecs? The Wolf Pack would face No. 2 UNLV in the quarterfinal.

All Nevada has to do is repeat last week's feat – sweep SDSU and UNLV – and it would reach the semifinal of the MW Tournament for just the second time in school history.
