Wolf Pack scores a win, but loses a key player

As quickly as the Wolf Pack is running out of scholarship players it is stacking up wins.

After losing all-conference center AJ West earlier this week when he quit the team, the Wolf Pack lost perhaps an even more important piece, Tyron Criswell, the “identity” of the team, when he injured his knee in the first half and was limited to crunches thereafter. Still, down to just eight scholarship players, Nevada found a way to win Friday in a 72-69 victory over Santa Clara before 5,813 fans at Lawlor Events Center.

“I’d argue that we play as hard as any team in the country,” coach Eric Musselman said.
