The Nevada basketball team’s bus rolled into the parking lot at its hotel, the Marriott, in Albuquerque around midnight on Saturday, but not a single Wolf Pack player headed for the exit.
They sat there for 20 minutes. Their eyes were glued to the video screen on the bus, which was showing a replay of the Wolf Pack’s game against New Mexico, which had finished about an hour early. Perhaps even Nevada couldn’t believe the miracle it just pulled off in scoring a 105-104 overtime victory in front of 11,235 shell-shocked Lobos fans.
