Monday marked the beginning of preparation for the Nevada football team’s season opener against Northwestern, and the Wolf Pack enters the start of the year prepared to play multiple quarterbacks.
Incoming quarterback David Cornwell, the transfer from Alabama who joined the team in the spring, and returner Ty Gangi, who started Nevada’s final four games last season, are both expected to play this season, coach Jay Norvell said after the team’s final scrimmage over the weekend, which capped training camp.
“The biggest thing that training camp has shown us is that I think we have two really good quarterbacks in David and Ty Gangi,” Norvell said.
