When the Wolf Pack hits the Lawlor Events Center court Saturday at 5 p.m. to play San Diego State, it will find itself in a position it has not been in all season – second place in the Mountain West.
That fate was sealed when the Wolf Pack, playing without leading scorer Caleb Martin, fell to rival UNLV, 86-78, on Wednesday, snapping a 16-game home winning streak.
The loss pushed Nevada (20-5, 9-2) a half game below Boise State (20-4, 10-2) for first place in the MW.
