They're coming off a brutal loss at Wyoming, but the Nevada football players remain optimistic they can get the season back on track.

Nevada (4-4, 1-3 MW) hosts New Mexico (2-6, 0-4) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Quarterback Carson Strong, punter Quinton Conaway and coach Jay Norvell spoke at Monday's weekly press conference.

Strong said he made several mistakes against Wyoming, in a 31-3 loss, but he was not rusty.

Malik Henry had started at quarterback the previous two games, before Strong, a freshman returned to the starting spot last week.
