The Nevada baseball team responded to a disappointing loss with an 8-1 win over UNLV on Friday at Peccole Park to even the series at one game apiece.
The Wolf Pack (32-22 overall, 19-10 Mountain West) scored seven runs in the sixth inning and took a shutout into the ninth inning, improving to 4-1 against the Rebels this season.
Right-handers Trevor Charpie and Sam Held combined for eight shutout innings to lead the Pack past the Rebels (24-29, 14-15). Jordan Pearce hit a three-run home run and went 2-for-3 with four RBIs, while Cole Krzmarzick went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.
