The six-figure, 121-page study the Nevada Board of Regents commissioned to look into the Nevada and UNLV athletic departments was posted online late Wednesday night and there's a treasure trove of great information in the study, which you can read here.
There are charts on academics, scholarships, staffing, subsidies and overall budgets, but what caught my eye was the sport-by-sport budget breakdown.
Using numbers obtained from the Mountain West conference office, College Sports Solutions, which authored the study, broke down how much money each W school spends on each sport. Notably, Nevada ranks last in football budget and second-to-last in basketball budget (the breakdown starts on page 22 of this link).
