Week in 1,000 Words: Pack's Stewart must hit high standard

Reno Gazette-Journal columnist Chris Murray has been known to be a bit wordy, so we're giving him 1,000 words (no more than that) to share his thoughts from the week that was in the world of sports.

* FROM 1983-2014, THE WOLF PACK has had 12 primary starting quarterbacks: Eric Beavers, Jim Zaccheo, Fred Gatlin, Chris Vargas, Mike Maxwell, John Dutton, David Neill, Zack Threadgill, Andy Heiser, Jeff Rowe, Colin Kaepernick and Cody Fajardo. Of those 12, only three failed to win an all-conference honor during their careers: Zaccheo, Threadgill and Heiser. That’s 32 years of Wolf Pack football with only four seasons without an all-league-caliber gunslinger (Zaccheo started for two seasons and Threadgill and Hesier one each).
