PULLMAN, Wash. – When Jay Norvell opted to install the Air Raid offense after being hired as Nevada’s head football coach last December, he envisioned a high-flying offense that played with pace, precision and punished the opponent through the air and ground them down rushing en route to big blowouts.

That exact scenario played out Saturday at Martin Stadium, only it was Nevada on the receiving end of an Air Raid demolition as No. 18 Washington State crushed the Wolf Pack, 45-7, before 30,317 fans.

Led by Air Raid master Mike Leach, Washington State scored touchdowns on five straight possessions in the first half and led 35-0 at intermission.
