When the Wolf Pack played road games last season, the team's three transfers sitting out the year under NCAA rules – Marcus Marshall, Jordan Caroline and Leland King – would watch the games together.
“The girls were usually playing here at Lawlor, so we’d sit in the stands and watch their game and on the laptop we’d have the guys’ game on,” Marshall said.
Marshall, Caroline and King did nearly everything together last season, their first in Reno. They lifted weights together. They ate dinner together. They got up shots together. They built a bond and waited as patiently as possible for 2016-17 to arrive when they’d be eligible to play again.
