FRESNO, Calif. – The Wolf Pack basketball team beat Fresno State, 80-65, on Wednesday night to improve to 12-3 overall and 1-0 in the Mountain West. Here are three takeaways from Nevada’s victory.

If you needed any evidence how important road wins are in the Mountain West, all you had to do was look at the four other games during Wednesday night’s conference openers. The other four home teams in those games – New Mexico, Boise State, Wyoming and Utah State – each won by double-digits, with the average margin of victory being 19.
