Three Nevada players earn All-Mountain West honors; Jackson, Sharts and Shrum honored

Following the shortened 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nevada baseball standouts Jake Jackson, Owen Sharts and Dillan Shrum were awarded All-Mountain West honors, announced by the conference on Thursday.

This is the second All-MW honor for Jackson and the first for Shrum and Sharts.

Each team was granted three honorees by the conference, as selected by each institution’s head coach.

Jackson was having one of his best seasons, leading Nevada’s starting pitchers with a 3.00 ERA in four appearances. The junior finished second in the Mountain West with 24 innings pitched, going at least six in three of his four starts.
