When you’re winning a lot of games, when your fans are behind you, when you're competing for measurable goals, it’s easy to be upbeat, dedicated and keep pushing through the long football season.
When you’re 1-8 – like the Wolf Pack – it’s harder to remain invested in the remainder of the season, but it also gives a coach like Jay Norvell a better glimpse at which of his players are the most dedicated.
“There’s no question your character gets revealed when you have adversity and who you really are shows up every day,” said Norvell, the Wolf Pack’s first-year head coach.
