The Wolf Pack had its share of gut-busting losses last season – defeats to UNLV and Wyoming topping the list – but perhaps the one that was hardest to swallow was the 31-27 loss at Utah State.
Nevada, a 14-point underdog in that game, was leading 27-7 early in the second half before everything fell apart.
“It was a collapse of epic proportions,” offensive lineman Jeremy Macauley said of the 31-27 loss to the Aggies last season. “It was unreal. It’d be nice if we can get back at them.”
Macauley and 20 other seniors will walk onto the field at Mackay Stadium for the final time Saturday when it hosts Utah State for its senior day game.
