On a night that saw a long-time attendance record broken at Lawlor Events Center, the Nevada basketball team did not disappoint.
The Wolf Pack throttled rival UNLV, 89-73, Wednesday night to sweep the season series from the Rebels. And, with the exception of one cold spell in the second half, they made it look pretty easy.
Nevada’s three senior leaders were front-and-center throughout the game. Caleb Martin (24 points), Cody Martin (23) and Jordan Caroline (20) scored 67 of the Pack’s 89 points, with Caroline also adding a game-high 12 rebounds. Cody Martin hit a career-high four 3-point shots and dished out eight assists for Nevada, which finished with 20 assists on its 32 made shots (against just eight turnovers).
