Strong sizzles for six touchdowns as Nevada Wolf Pack romps past New Mexico State Aggies

That's how you overcome a slow start.

New Mexico State surprised the Wolf Pack and most of the Nevada fans in taking a 7-0 lead early in Saturday night's football game.

The Aggies led 7-3 after the first quarter.

But Nevada then scored 52 unanswered points and took a 55-28 win in front of 21,448 fans at Mackay Stadium.

Strong finished with 377 yards and six touchdowns on 25-for-32 passing, as the Wolf Pack improved to 4-1 overall (1-0 Mountain West). New Mexico State dropped to 1-6.

Strong's TD passes went to five different players, Melquan Stovall, Justin Lockhart, Harry Ballard, Toa Taua and Cole Turner who had two.
