Stivrins catches fire in Nevada's rout of Holy Names

If Marqueze Coleman caught fire, you could understand it.

If AJ West, D.J. Fenner or Tyron Criswell had a big game, you would believe it.

But there was a different star of the show in Nevada’s 108-57 victory over Holy Names on Monday night at Lawlor Events Center, and that star had played just one minute in the Wolf Pack’s first six games.

Lucas Stivrins, the little-used 6-foot-11 post player, had a career night. After logging just a few seconds in the first half, the senior hit 6-of-7 3-pointers in the second half while scoring a career-high 21 (his previous best was nine).
