According to Chris Murray of Nevada Sports Net, Alford is set to become the next head coach of Nevada Men’s Basketball. A formal announcement is expected from Nevada’s athletic department Thursday morning.
Alford will inherit a roster that is currently undergoing massive changes. Seven seniors are set to graduate including Jordan Caroline and the Martin Twins, Cody and Caleb. Multiple players have also entered transfer protocol since the season came to end including Jalen Townsell, Jazz Johnson and JoJo Anderson.
Alford will replace Musselman who left Nevada, to take over for Mike Anderson as the head coach at Arkansas.
