St. John’s transfer Williams can play right away for Pack

The Wolf Pack basketball team has added yet another Division I transfer, although this one comes with a positive caveat.

Darien Williams, a 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward who played for St. John’s last season, won’t have to wait a year to suit up for Nevada. He’s eligible immediately as a graduate transfer.

Williams announced in early April he would transfer for his final season of college and waited nearly two months before finding his ultimate landing spot. Williams said he didn’t panic when spots were filling up on rosters across the county because the right fit would open up.
