Jalen Townsell had a number of full-ride scholarship offers he could have accepted. Instead, the Spanish Springs High product will walk on at Nevada next season.
Townsell, one of the top high school players in Northern Nevada last season, committed Wednesday to play for Nevada next year. He'll do so as a preferred walk-on and will work to earn a scholarship over time rather than take on straight out of high school.
