Spanish Springs High graduate Katrina Prendergast is a U.S. champion.

Prendergast, 20, and her Colorado State teammate Ellen Secor erased a late 2-down deficit in the fourth U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball on Wednesday to defeat the Lei Ye and Yachun Chang 1 up in the 18-hole final match at El Caballero Country Club, Tarzana, Calif.

Trailing by two holes on the 15th tee, the side won three consecutive holes, capped by Prendergast converting a 5-foot birdie putt on the par-5 17th hole for a 1-up lead.
