The Nevada softball team took the deciding game of a three-game series Saturday at Utah State, 4-3, to finish the 2016 season at 32-15 overall and 10-10 in the Mountain West.
Wolf Pack sophomore Aaliyah Gibson finished 2-for-4 and hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the top of the fifth. She also made a sliding catch in center field to record the final out.
Freshman Brooke Bolinger tossed a complete game with eight strikeouts to earn her 16th victory of the season. She blanked the Aggies in the final four innings and got four of her eight strikeouts in that span.
