Two current Wolf Pack players, two potential future Wolf Pack players and two former local high school standouts were selected during the final day of the Major League Baseball rule-four draft.
Nevada's Jordan Pearce and Justin Bridgman headlined the local selections. Pearce, who played first, second and third base this season, was the first Wolf Pack player to be selected. He went in the 21st round with the 635th overall pick to the Detroit Tigers.
Pearce hit .284 with five homers and six doubles this season. He had a .397 on-base percentage and slugged .401. As a junior, Pearce could opt not to sign and return for his senior season at Nevada.
