Wednesday is the first day of college football’s “regular” signing period. Nevada, which underwent a coaching change in December, is expected to sign a large class of newcomers.

Signed newcomers
DT William Green (Albany, Ga.): Liberty transfer; listed at 310 pounds last season.
LB Marcel Walker (Paterson, N.J.): Moves up a level, going from D-II Southern Connecticut State to Nevada.
DE Ike Nnakenyi (Las Vegas): Played at Coronado. Other offers were from UNLV and Colorado State.
