The Nevada Board of Regents unanimously approved a three-year contract extension for Wolf Pack athletic director Doug Knuth during its meeting Friday at Nevada State College.
Knuth agreed to the extension in January. It will kick in on July 1. The deal extends his contract through 2019 and will pay him $295,000 annually, an increase of $10,000 in base salary.
The contract was approved by the ad hoc committee on athletics last week and approved by the Regents on Friday. The vote was 12-0 in favor (one Regent was absent).
During the meeting by the ad hoc committee, Knuth was lauded for doing an excellent job in academics, student support, budget control, fundraising, hiring and building community relations.
