San Diego State freshman Parker Houston probably didn’t need the reminder, but Aztecs tight ends coach Jake Laudenslayer gave it to him anyway by noting to Houston that he was going home this weekend.
“I mentioned it to him and he cracked a big smile,” Laudenslayer said.
Houston was a stalwart for the Reed High football dynasty from 2013-15, joining the varsity team as a sophomore before being an all-state tight end as a junior and senior. On Saturday at 7:30 p.m., SDSU will play Nevada at Mackay Stadium in Houston’s first college game back in Northern Nevada.
