Less than a month after the NCAA passed a ban on so-called satellite camps, it reversed its decision Thursday afternoon.
The move to ban schools from hosting recruiting camps anywhere but on-campus sites was widely panned by coaches, including Nevada's Brian Polian.
“I think it’s incredibly short-sighted,” Polian told the RGJ last season. “I disagree with it completely. It’s another example of some powerful people in college football flexing their muscles. It hurts the prospects the most.
“I think really this is a reaction to a recruiting argument between a couple of people but the people involved in the argument are very powerful.
