Pack's Norvell carries on name of historic 1985 Iowa team

When new Nevada football coach Jay Norvell walks into the home of a recruit, he not only can sell the benefits of playing for the Wolf Pack, he also can sell his story as a prep recruit looking for the right college.

Norvell’s father played football at Wisconsin. Norvell grew up in Madison going to games at Camp Randall Stadium. And his younger brother, Aaron, also became a Badger. While Wisconsin recruited Norvell out of high school, the standout two-way player found a better fit at another Big Ten school: Iowa. And the decision to become a Hawkeye continues to have an impact on him more than 30 years after he graduated.
