Wolf Pack middle infielder Miles Mastrobuoni was named the Mountain West player of the week on Monday, his first league honor and the fourth this season for Nevada.
Mastrobuoni led Nevada to a 3-1 record last week as the Wolf Pack defeated San Francisco in a midweek game and won its conference series at New Mexico. A native of Livermore, Calif., Mastrobuoni started in all four games and batted .500 with eight hits, eight RBIs, five runs and three doubles. He also posted a perfect fielding percentage.
A transfer from the College of San Mateo, Mastrobuoni had multi-RBI games in all three games against the Lobos as Nevada won that series two games to one to keep alive its MW title hopes.
