After collecting two wins and one save in three appearances last week, Wolf Pack sophomore Mark Nowaczewski was named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
The Reed High grad, a 6-foot-4, right-hander, made three appearances last week with a 0.00 ERA while notching two wins and one save. He logged 8.1 innings with no runs, four hits, two walks and five strikeouts. He also limited opponents to a .143 batting average
It marks Nowaczewski's first career weekly award and the second in a row for Nevada (Trevor Charpie was honored the week before for a one-hit shutout).
