Like any first-year coach, the Wolf Pack's Jay Norvell wanted to win as many games as he could as quickly as possible.
Things didn’t turn out that way, of course, as Nevada lost its first five games, but the team has made some recent progress, most notably in the last two games – a home win over Hawaii and two-point road loss at Colorado State as a 24.5-point underdog.
“I was talking to Coach (Chris) Ault and I told Coach Ault, ‘I was pretty greedy in the preseason and I take total credit for that,’” Norvell said during his Tuesday press conference.
