D.J. Fenner’s first time watching the Nevada basketball team play live came in December 2012 when he was a high school senior and the Wolf Pack came to his hometown of Seattle to play Washington.
Fenner had already committed to playing for Nevada and got a ticket to the game. But instead of sitting behind the Wolf Pack bench, he was placed behind the Huskies' bench.
Fenner cheered lustfully as then-Nevada star Deonte Burton scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Wolf Pack, a 9.5-point underdog in the game, to a 76-73 upset victory. That didn’t go over so well with Washington.
