Pack's Cameron Oliver named MW player of the week

Cameron Oliver began last week coming off the bench after an uninspired game Feb. 12 at San Diego State.

He ended it as the Mountain West player of the week.

The Wolf Pack sophomore averaged 19.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game last week (two double-digit wins) and won the honor for the first time this season. It is the second MW player of the week award in his career. Nevada has won the honor four times this season (Jordan Caroline has won twice this season and Marcus Marshall once).

Oliver scored 25 points with 15 rebounds in a 78-59 win at Air Force on Wednesday and followed that with a 14-point, 10-rebound, five-block showing in a 77-66 win over Utah State on Saturday.
