Wolf Pack freshman Cora Gallop ran one of the fastest 6,000-meter times in school history to lead Nevada to a seventh-place finish out of 11 teams at the Mountain West women's cross country championships Friday in Kuna, Idaho.
Gallop earned second-team All-MW honors after finishing 14th overall with a time of 21 minutes, 8 seconds. Her time was the third fastest in program history and a freshman record by 26 seconds.
“I actually felt really good today," Gallop said in a news release. "My whole goal was to just stay relaxed during the race. I’m really proud of my team.
