Devearl Ramsey loved his Wolf Pack teammates, enjoyed playing for the team's coaching staff and even had a soft spot in his heart for the city of Reno but has decided to transfer out of Nevada after just one season with the program.
Ramsey, one of the top recruits to ever sign with Nevada, said he was saddened by the decision but ultimately it was the right thing for him to do from a basketball standpoint. Ramsey recently told coach Eric Musselman of his decision, with news of his departure breaking Wednesday.
“It was tough for sure because I really love my teammates and I didn’t think I’d like Reno this much," Ramsey told the Reno Gazette-Journal on Wednesday afternoon on the school's campus.
