Pack notes: Nevada honors Marc Ma with helmet logo

News and notes from Nevada’s season opener Friday night against Cal Poly at Mackay Stadium.

* The Wolf Pack wore a logo on the back of its helmet honoring Marc Ma, who drowned at Lake Tahoe in June in a paddleboarding accident. The defensive end’s No. 59 won’t be worn for the next three years, the length of his remaining eligibility at Nevada when he passed. The logo included his No. 59, a “hang loose” sign and a Hawaii flower (Ma was a native of Honolulu). Nevada held a moment of silence for Ma prior to kickoff.
