News and notes from Nevada’s 38-14 win Saturday over Buffalo.
* True freshman RB Jaxson Kincaide made his first college start and rushed for a career-high 99 yards on 18 carries, including a 48-yard run in the first half. Kincaide got extra reps because senior RB Akeel Lynch was sidelined with a concussion sustained last week. Lynch did not play and Kincaide had a breakout performance one week after scoring his first college touchdown in a 39-10 loss at Notre Dame.
“I apologize to Jaxson Kincaide,” Nevada coach Brian Polian said.
