When a concussion sidelined Josh Hall last week and Nevada had a void to fill in the starting lineup, coach Eric Musselman said he would consult his assistants as well as his players on who should slide into that starting spot.
But, in reality, there was only one choice.
D.J. Fenner, who started the last two seasons before accepting a reserve role this year, was the guy.
“It was the only decision,” Musselman said after Nevada’s 72-69 win over San Diego State on Wednesday night at Lawlor Events Center. “We didn’t really discuss anything. And he deserves it.
