Pack lands burly big man transfer Tre'Shawn Thurman

The fifth game of Tre’Shawn Thurman’s college career was played against Nevada.

Starting next season, Thurman will call the Wolf Pack his home team.

The burly big man who is transferring out of Nebraska-Omaha committed Thursday to play for Nevada, where he will have to sit out the 2017-18 season under NCAA transfer rules. He has one season of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-7, 230-pound Thurman tallied 18 points, five blocks and three rebounds against Nevada during that game three years ago – Omaha won, 78-54 – in what ended up being David Carter’s last season as the Wolf Pack’s head coach.
