MARICOPA, Ariz. – Senior Caryn Khoo and sophomore Celyn Khoo recorded top-five finishes at the Cowgirl Classic, hosted by Wyoming, on Tuesday.
“As a team we played well today. I’m very pleased with how Caryn and Celyn battled out there,” said head coach Kathleen Takaishi. “Two players in the top-five is always a good thing. We know what we need to work on to prepare for our conference championship now.”
Nevada entered the tournament as the defending champion and took home a tie for fourth place this year in a 19-team field. The Wolf Pack recorded its best team score of the tournament on Tuesday, a 294, and posted a combined score of 888 (298-296-294) to tie with fellow Mountain West member, Boise State.
