Pack gets verbal commitment from Vegas QB Jamaal Evans

The Wolf Pack has gone down south for its latest quarterback.

Jamaal Evans, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound dual-threat quarterback from Las Vegas, verbally committed Friday night to Nevada as part of the Wolf Pack's 2017 recruiting class.

Evans, who plays for Centennial High School, completed 56.4 percent of his passes for 1,807 yards, 20 touchdowns and only three interceptions as a junior last season, his first year as a varsity starter. He rushed for 565 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Bulldogs, who went 8-3 in 2015 and typically has one of the Silver State's better football programs.
