Pack football does something in classroom only two other schools have achieved

As Wolf Pack football coach Jay Norvell walked off the practice field Tuesday, he was greeted with some good news from Andrew Caudill, the school’s assistant athletic director in charge of football academics.

After the conclusion of summer classes, the Wolf Pack has a cumulative grade-point average of 3.008 for the 5,667 credit hours the team’s current players have logged. While it’s not completely unusual for a football program to exceed the 3.0 GPA mark in any one semester, the Wolf Pack’s 3.008 GPA accounts for every credit take by an active Nevada football player, which dates back to 2013 season.
