Pack enters season with new optimism, two head coaches

Since it was created in 2000, the Wolf Pack women’s soccer team has had five head coaches.

Success has been fleeting. In its 16 years of existence, Nevada has had just two winning campaigns, those coming in back-to-back seasons in 2005 and 2006. Nevada has won just 33.1 percent of its games all-time, posting an 89-193-27 record. And Nevada hasn’t outscored its opponent on the season since 2006.

History isn’t on the Wolf Pack’s side. But, to buck history, Nevada is doing something unique this season: it will have two head coaches instead of one in Casey Tate and Erin Otagaki.
